anyone running a Honda 1000

I am needing pictures of the aftermarket air filter assembly that has the 4 injectors in the top. I see PeterD sells an ITG but does anyone have a picture of that assembly. I also heard that Crutchfield has a blank assembly you can make yourself, does anyone use that one?

compression question

What would make a 06 gsxr 1000 have low compression in cylinders 1 and 4 2 and 3 are just fine at 210. 1 and 4 are at 165. there are new rings and a fresh valve job is done also. could it be 2 worn cylinders or what. Help me out I am stumped here. thanks

I just purchased a dwarf and plan on running in the so cali area next year (dirt). I'm going through the car and freshing it up. The set-up is similar to most cars I've been around and should be a good baseline. The only thing I have a question on is the pinion angle. It is set at 7 degrees, this seems a bit much. I was thinking in the 4-6 range. The rear suspension is standard 3 link w/the shocks mounted in front of the rear axle. It has a solid third link that is down in the front 7...

Cylinder bore gauge / tool

Hey everyone, I am trying to find or make a tool that will measure the bore of the cylinder without removing the head. Something that will slide down inside the spark plug hole. I can easily measure the stroke with a dial gauge but am looking for a tool that can measure the bore as well. Anyone know of something like that? or something that they have made?

Or any other ideas on how to tech the cc's of a motor to see if it is legal?

Pro style vs A-arm front ends

What are the pro and cons of the A-arm style?? I have had 3 cars with Pro style which I liked very much for the ease of adjustments and repairs. I purchased a car that I plan on putting together as a backup or a car that a friend of mine car run that has A-arms. I can convert it pretty easy I think, but it will cost me some $$$$. Just wondering what everyone else thinks of this style. Thanks

GSXR gauges what works with what?

I'm re-powering this winter to a 02 gsxr 1000 motor. I like to have the factory cluster so i can check EFI codes etc. I know 01-02 cluster will work but what about 03-04 units? Will 0304 gauges plug in to the 02 harness?
I did a 02 600 a few years back and used 750 gauges they worked fine, are there any real differences in the gauges via OEM displacement?

hey guys i know i need something on the rear end like a pull bar, or something. but not sure what is recommended to use, a pull bar? or a swedge tube with no give? if a pull bar is there a certain one, a certain rate? and what about left side of the frame, extending to the right side of the rear axle? if that a swedge tube? or a pull bar or what? thanks for the help.

I had a 04 GSXR #T711. I blew it up. bought a GSXR that was told to me a 03 #T708....now I find out that it is an 01/02... what do I need to do to make it work...I have no wiring for the 01/02. I have a barker harness with the 03/04 ECU....

Pro Race Cars - 8 bolt housing

Does Pro Rae Cars bend the 1/2-13 bolt and sleeve used to attach the shock to the housing when they make the axle housing? Both of mine are bent and I'm wondering if its from racing or if Pro bends them so the bolt doesn't turn when you tighten the nut.
