Numbers on Cars

Your cars are well suited to have over 24 on a track at once. We put all 26 out there this weekend and with a little work on numbers, I feel that we could run as many as 34 on our little track.

I would encourage everyone to watch a feature on video and see how many cars you can write down or ten key as they come by the first lap. It will show you the importance of good number size and contrast.

You all have beautiful cars, I just want to score you correctly every lap,...

ZX12's VS. 1000's

I run a zx12 and about 1/2 of the cars in our area are zx12's..... and of course the rest of the engines are 1000's of some sort weather they are GSXR,ZX10,R-1's or whatever. you can look at our point...

Part I
I'm not going to mention cars or drivers because that's not important, safety is.
After witnessing 2 fires in 2 weeks I recommend that the power supply for fuel pumps should be supplied from the factory fuel pump relay that is controlled by the ECU that turns off fuel if the ECU does not see a signal for more than 2 seconds.

Both cars had the fuel pumps hard wired to a switch on the dash and the power was left on after the wreck. Both wrecks caused a fuel...

Hi all.... It's me... the tire issue guy....lol
I know that "most" clubs around the country use the Hoosier DOT dirt oval tire as the required spec tire. I'm not attempting to change the modlite/dwarfcar world, but merely trying to inform those with a humble ear.
This is only a suggestion, and nothing else....
Since most racers don't want to stray from the "national sanction" set of rules, I can understand sticking to the Hoosier Soft as a clubs spec tire. My...

TUSA vs WSDCA

How about adjusting the WSDCA rules so the TUSA cars can race with the WSDCA guys.

TUSA
Main frame members will be minimum of 1 x 2 x .120 wall rectangular steel tubing only. Mainframe rail consist of the length between the front lower a-arm cross member and the rear main roll bar upright. No aluminum allowed in cage or frame.

dwarfcar vs. modlite

I've been watching the car counts with clubs that have switched to modlites from classics. The classic clubs seem to have held their members and counts up for the most part. Modlite clubs appear to grow and decline in just one or 2 seasons. I believe it is mainly due to classic owners being fed-up with the changing rules to accomadate the "new cars and members", while nothing is being done to accomadate the old classics. Are there any rules that anyone thinks should be introduced in TUSA and local clubs that would improve the safety of our sport ?

11. SAFETY EQUIPMENT

A. Fire bottle system HIGHLY recommended.
B. Driver uniform will consist of:
- Firesuit (single layer minimum, one or two piece)
- Fireproof gloves
- Leather or fireproof shoes
- Approved helmet with Snell 95 or higher

2 year rule, good idea?

1000cc limit by 2008, use TUSA rules as is until 2008 then go to lower limit.

Same pump as now.
