I have used forward air, and they do pretty well. You can have insurance put on the itemed shipped for the valued amount for less then $20.00(well worth it).
Not sure Forward Air can handle a chassis or frame, but it wouldn't hurt to find out. It would be hard to damage a frame in frieght, but anything is
possible.

hello,

I heard once a guy shipped a motor out forward air locally and when the buyer received the engine there was a huge hole in the block because a person from
Forward air ran a fork cliff fork through the crate on accident. I realize they have awesome prices but just something to think about. I have personally never
shipped through them so I'm not saying there good or bad. Thanks,

Hate to say it, but as fuel prices go up, so does the "fuel surcharge" that's added to the freight bill. As of right now, the best deal will be
from Conway Express, UPS freight, or FedEx freight. They may have a cheaper rate if you drop the frame off at their terminal or hub. Same with who ever is
picking it up. It's cheaper to send freight "prepaid". Frame must be banded or strapped to a pallet. If cost isn't an issue, then Yellow
Transportation will get it...
