Thunder Hill Raceway 04//26/08
Congratulations on another victory #05 Keith Roach , but an equal congratulations goes out to all the other drivers who put on a great show for DCRST. We had a good car count. Both heat races were action packed and caution free. The first heat race had 7 cars including our newest member Chuck McCormick #8 (great job for your first time out). The lineup for the first heat race was #60, #16, #37, #93, #8, #00, #0. Finishing order was #60, #16, #37, #93, #8, #00, #0. The lineup for the 2nd heat race was: #3, #15, #6, #64, #72, #05, #20, #27. The finishing order was #3, #72, #6, #20, #64, #15, #27.
The lineup for the feature race was #3, #15, #6, #64, #72, #05, #20, #37, #00, #16. #93, #60, #0, #37, #8. The finishing order was #05, #64, #3, #20, #15, #6, #16, #27, #37, #8, #93, #60, #00, #0, #72.
This race was a very action packed race with only a couple of cautions, all minor. However, one of them took out #72 about halfway through the race. The #3 car (Rocky Bassham) lead all but 4 out of 20 laps. #72 Arden Vikre took the lead away from him for 2 laps and then #3 took over again until the next to the last lap when he was passed up on turn 2 by the #05 and #64 for the remainder of the laps. This was not only a race for 1st and 2nd place, the top 6 were running very close. Great job everyone. The next race for points is in Corpus Christi. This ought to be a great race! See ya in Corpus!
