ESDCA website deleted |

I am sorry to announce that the website for the Empire State Dwarf cars (ESDCA.org) has been permently deleted. Since 2003 I have provided this service free
of charge for the racing community. And have even used it to raise prises and sponsors for the group. With hundreds of dollars in internet fees and at times 10
hours a week dedicated into it over the last few years. I have decided that the constant complaining that I recieve about its content and format exceeds the
amount of time and money that I am willing to spend maintaining it. During this slow season that has virtually no activity at all to update. Certain people
have taken the time to continually complain about its lack of updates.
I WILL NOT take the time and effort to again donate such services. Any questions or comments please direct them to UglyGuy51 JB |

I thought it was a nice looking site. Takes alot of work to design, maintain and update a site.
Sorry your club had to lose such a valuable asset. |

Jeff,
Your work is always of upmost quality and professionalism. The website was no different. I build and maintain websites so I know first hand what is involved and for you to donate the time and money is outstanding! I don't blame you for taking it down. Uglyguy, how about you get a life you loser! You are such a "positive" force in our form of racing.....question....can you build, maintain, and afford the new club website? Can't wait to see it! Fred Schneider #4 rmdcra.org ps - Jeff, the custom dash board you did for me is a work of art and I'll show before and after pics one of these days. It was well received at the race car show and swap meet this weekend! |

I'm not going to argue that it was a great looking website it was but artwork doesn't make a web site info does and if I don't have the right to
voice my opinion and I wasn't the only one who did but I'm the only one whos getting blamed I reaslly don't care any more.. If all you
geniuses want to looked at a website that has all the info needed for its race team go look at my sons site www.freewebs.com/joegwilt and it was free no cost boys ..don't blame me for anything anymore I'm sick of
all your pathetic whining I'm done and I will not be making any comments on this message board anymore either since some people can't take any
critique at all people GROW UP AND TAKE BLAME WHERE IT LIES AT HOME1 GWILT OUT! Oh and one more thing our club had a banquet and where
was all the info on that who got what awards etc etc etc.. nothing thats right absolutly nothing was put on our website or should I say jeffs website.

Jeff, sorry it had to come to this level. It really stinks how one person can ruin it for everyone. Jeff if you decide to do the website again I will do what I
can to help.

ugly guy 51 wrote:Doug - I wasn't going to say anything, because I really don't want to get in the middle of this, but I need to address this. First, yes, it technically is Jeffrey's website. He pays the annual fee for the domain name (esdca.org), he pays the monthly web hosting charges (a free site like what Joe's got is no where near capable of hosting a site like the ESDCA's...there is far too much information and bandwidth used to qualify for a free site), and he puts a significant amount of time into the website on a volunteer basis (which if you were to pay the going rate for a webmaster to do the update that he does, you'd be looking at $25 an hour, minimum, so you'd be talking thousands of dollars over the course of the race season alone). Second, the banquet was only two and half weeks ago. I know that you (general ESDCA you) are used to updates being posted within a few days, but you have to bear in mind that this is one of Jeffrey's busiest times for harnesses, with folks getting ready for East Bay and the upcoming racing season. The week after the banquet, he received like 20 harnesses...to add to the 10 or so that he'd gotten at the end of the week before the banquet...and he got another 7 last week - we're talking nearly 40 harnesses received in a little more than a two week period. Each harness takes several hours to complete, and that is not including the time it takes to build a dash panel, if someone ordered one (and there were several of those). Jeffrey has been working practically non-stop for the past two and half weeks to stay on top of his workload. Don't you think that what little downtime he's had has been justifiably spent with me, rather than updating a website that he is not compensated for, and for which there is no time sensitive information that needs to be posted right away? If you truly think that updating a volunteer website is more important than doing one's job or spending time with loved ones, then you need to re-evaluate your priorities, because in my opinion, loved ones and doing one's job FAR outweigh a volunteer website. -Christina edited for clarity and spelling

Well said Christina! Apparently people still have to complain about time and professional services that are donated! Unbelieveable, i could only dream to have
a site as good as esdca's for the whip city racers.
