Can someone tell me how to wire up an AutoMeter (14K) tach to a ZX12R engine. Where do you pick up the tach output
on the engine ? The tach has the following wires:
Red - to +12V
Black - to Ground
Green - to tach output of engine - Need help here
Brown loop - cut or don't cut depending on cylinders

Ok, I can identify the Neg side of the stick coil, based on the tach documentation, they call to hook the green wire to the Neg side of the coil, has anyone hooked the tach to the primary Neg lead to the stick coil and made the tach work ?
