I need to add about one hundred pounds to my car. Can anyone offer any advice on where the best places to add weight are? I have a 06 hornet.

Depends..........
Hows the car handle now? Any problems with the handleing? Are you racing on dirt or pavement?

Last Saturday was my first race. The car was very loose in practice and the heat so made one turn in all the corners and dropped the stagger from 3''
to 1'' and 3/4. I am still getting used to the car since Im coming up from karts this year but the car felt 100 times better and I would like to have
it maintain the same setup but 110 lbs heavier.

WHATS YOUR REAR PERCENTAGE ? IF YOU TRULY DON'T WANT TO CHANGE THE HANDLING WITH THE WEIGHT YOU MIGHT THINK ABOUT BOLTING IT IN FRONT OF YOUR SEAT. THAT
SHOULD KEEP IT CLOSE TO THE SAME

ONE MORE THING DROPPING YOUR STAGGER WAS PROBABLY WHAT MADE THE CAR FEEL BETTER. ALL YOU DID WHEN YOU PUT A TURN ON ALL CORNERS WAS RAISE RIDE HEIGHT A
LITTLE. NEXT TIME YOUR LOOSE TRY PUTTING A TURN ON LEFT REAR AND RIGHT FRONT. THAT SHOULD MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE

I would think and correct me if I am wrong ,that the more you get comfortable taking the car into the turns harder you are going to want a bit more roll over
in the rear of the chassis. Thus I would suggest as you get more comfortable start placing some of that weight on the rear, over the rear end. It also nice to
have a bracket that allows you to move the weight from center to right. 2cents from an ignorant California planted dude from Bama! LOL The teacher said on my
report card does not play well with others, so I though YES! lets go racing.

So I took the car to some guys who race late models and used their rocket lead (aprox 30lbs). After figuring out where to put the weight with the scales we had
a good setup. After they checked with Rocket they found out that they would not be able to get more lead so they didnt sell me the lead. Now the lead I can
find is at the track I race at and they are 40lbs each. Does anyone know of somewhere to get lead in the Pittsburgh area or have some extra and will be at
mercer this week?

Walmart sells barbell plates. You can put in all kinds of combinations of weight. You can use a 3/4 pipe to mount them on. Then you can add and remove them.

I do exactly what Fundevil does. I use pinch clamps and get a hard grade bolt in various long lengths and add the 5 and 2.5 pound plates on it where needed.
I use a large washer against the plates and then a smaller washer to go against the nut. I usually place 3-4 pinch clamps on the chassis frmae where at the
points I intend to put weight and leave them on there at all times.
