Hey Charlie.... I noticed that 7-19-08 is open. I see 64 speedway is reopening, and it'd be neat to have a race up there. If not, I'm sure CAS would be
thrilled to have us.

The deal fell thru with 64 Speedway it is not going to open. The July 4 race there is canceled.

The updated schedule looks to be a good improvement! Glad to see CAS over the CSS events. The purse there has been pretty good.

How far are these tracks you guys race at from Atlanta Tx.?

I would say Murfreesboro (AMS) is about 3 hours for you...maybe 2 1/2. The other ones will be a much longer trek. Maybe 3- 4 1/2 hours on I-30. CAS would be
about 5 for you. Monticello could be about 3 hours for you as well if you come up through Monroe, LA. These are just guesstamites.

Not sure if it's a screw-up, but Centerville posted on midsouth racing forum a 2 day show for $1000 to win, $600 for 2nd... and $100 to start (based on 20
cars) for August 31st, and September 1st. Is that legit???

Bill Gilkey said he was going to run this show. We could run Sunday only for a reduced purse. We need to know who would show up if we race AMP at Sat. then CSS
Sunday?

I currently work on Sunday, but if it's a legit $1000 to win, I'll take a "sick-day" to make the race on Sunday.

Centerville is CSS... down hiway 7 south of Russellville, and AMS( Arkansas Motor Speedway ), is where we had the "Turkey Shootout", near
Murfreesboro AR. That's where we'll be this Saturday night.

Posted on Midsouth racing scene forums, Centerville Super Speedway has posted a 2 day event for Saturday and Sunday nights( Razorback Nationals). The posted
purse is
$1000.00 to win, 600-2nd, 350-3rd, 250-4th, 200-5th, 175-6th, 150-7th, 130-8th, 120-9th, 115-10th, 110-11th, 105-12th, and $100.00 to start, based on 20 cars. $25 to enter Saturday, and $30 to enter on Sunday. Qualifying for positions Saturday, and feature on Sunday. I think Tex is trying or work out a deal for a one day Sunday night race, for a lower purse, so to keep the committment with AMS on Saturday. I'm sure Tex will update us as soon as he knows. Keep in mind, ADCRA tire rule calls for the Hoosier block tire(TUSA type, but doesn't have to be stamped TUSA). Unless Tex or Charles decides to make an exception for Texanna classics at Centervilles "non-points" race, you may have to leave those swell "American Racers" at home.
