Posts: 193 (05/18/08 02:49 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Tags : None I have a 06 gsxr in an LC4 with a winters floter and can not find the vibration ! Not drive shaft or u joints 1 Had a bent output shaft on motor and bent drive shaft last year and had it replaced the vibration come back last week end . I had the new drive shaft out and checked for balence and straight , The car went up in the air and come down on the left rear wheel and bent the control arm and drive shaft and output shaft last year ! It is a full floater and will pull axels and run in lathe again as I done it last winter and nothing and have not hit anything this year yet ! Thanks Tom

Posts: 18 (05/19/08 01:41 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	are your jack stands under the frame or the rear diff if there under the frame then there is no load on the diff and this could be hiding the problem just thought of that check your output shaft on the tranny some thing deeper maybe bending the shaft or maybe a bearing was installed on the shaft wrong and it has failed

The screws that lock on the locking ring come lose or did not get tightened last time we put it togeather and let the bearing back off ! Thanks To all of you for the help ! Tom Webb Oberlin Kansas ! We found that where the drive shaft came together on the spline (i think its called) it was pulling too far apart and was causing it to turn lopsided. He had an aluminum shim made up and the vibration stopped. its worth a shot to check it out, just to make sure that the drive shaft isnt pulling too far apart when your rear end torques back. maybe the reason that you couldnt find it on the jack stands was because there was no torque being put on the rear end to pull the drive shaft back. let me know if you figure it out. dhume@umail.ucsb.edu
