Hello guys,
Question for someone. Has anyone ever shipped a motor or similar item to the Philippines? I have a buyer for a motor there and I'm not to sure on the shipping. Any info would be great. Thanks, Tommy Felicia |

I would make sure that the money is good. Don't take any big checks like for twice as much or the like. There has been some bad deals come out of there.

Tommy - personally, I would NOT trust Paypal from a source in the Phillipines (because he can easily tell paypal that he never received the item, and
Paypal will reverse the transaction, and it will be on you to prove that he received it...and since you won't be able to prove that he - the
paypal account owner - was the actual person to sign for it, you'll be SOL). There are WAY too many scams that originate there.
If you still want to do business with this person, I would accept an international postal money order payable in US funds only. AND, wait at least two weeks for the funds to clear before you send the motor (because, unfortunately, not all international money orders are valid - especially coming from a country well-known for scams). -Christina

Since my wife is Philippina and does this regularly. I would suggest that you use a company called LBC Luzon Balikian Corp. for the entire transaction .
Payment and delivery LBC is in fact the UPS of the Philippines..

When I delt with the Auzzies, who were great to work with, they sent the money via Western Union to a store near my house.

Thank for all the replys guys. The guy gave me a number to call from a shipping company there that will scheadule shipping from here. What I'm going to do
is have him pay me and take the money out of my PayPal account as soon as I get it. The number he gave me is the shipping company he works with regulary so it
should be ok. I have been talking to this guy for months now. He contacted me a few months ago when I had my other R1 engine forsale. I hope all goes well and
