Looking for tips on installing a stock FI pump ( GSXR 1000 ) in the fuel cell. And tips or advise would help.

Look at the ring at the bottom of the page. It makes the installation simple. Cut the right size hole in the bottom of the tank. Once you remove the cap the ring will fit into the top of the tank. I use a small three gallon tank and did not want to lose the bottom inch of fuel so I drilled five holes in the side of the ring between each through bolt to leak fuel into the center for the pump to pick it up when running low. You do not need a return line with this pump setup. The pump bleeds excess pressure directly back into the tank. I also put a skid plate under the tank so the pump is protected because it was low and could be hit by something as it sticks out of the tank bottom. |

buy the ring mount that extreme sells on the website. Make life easy and no problem with sealing the pump, if you use rubber materal or RTV you will plug up
the fuel pump happen twice to me of course while racing not fun.

You need to use buna rubber for your fuel tank gaskets. Ive tried gasket paper, cork, cork with gasket making material on it etc and it did nothing but leak.
The pump has now been in for almost 3 full seasons and there isnt a single leak on it. good luck!

I think what he really needs to know is will the stock pump fit in a RCI 3 gallon tank?

Can someone please upload, or send me, a picture of just the fuel pump for a 2006 GSXR? We are being told we have the wrong one and I just want to compare it.
