New to Dwarf Car racing questions |

I have some questions about getting into Dwarf Car Racing in California. I am going from shifter kart racing and
thinking about getting into Dwarf car racing and had a few questions. Is there any major differences between car
manufacturers where there any one that is better than the others? Is there a preferred manufacture to go
with? I notice that is there is at least 4 to 5 different chassis mfr's to
choose from. I have the same question for the motors; is there a motor that should be used such as Suzuki, Kawasaki,
Honda etc….I haven't seen to many Yamaha's listed and seems like a lot of Suzuki's out there. I would
appreciate any advice that anyone can give me. These cars look like a lot of fun and I want to make sure I don't go
down the wrong path getting into this. I am sure my first car will be a used car and I want to make sure I am headed in
the right direction

Bill WHERE IN CA ARE YOU LOCATED?? THAT MIGHT HELP W/ A BUILDER. I RUN IN NORTHERN CA. LOTS OF M&M'S & HOT ROD CHASSIS HERE. MORE M&M'S THAN ANYTHING THO. BEST ENGINE? IN MY OPINION IT'S THE SUZUKI... HAVE RUN THEM FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND HAVE HAD VERY GOOD LUCK W/ THEM. THEY ARE MOST POPULAR WITCH MEANS YOU USUALLY SPEND $500.00 MORE FOR THEM THAN THE OTHERS! BUT FROM WHAT I SEE THEY ALL DO A REALLY GOOD JOB AND ARE ALL VERY COMPETITIVE.

I drive a Dwarf Car Co. Hurricain Very well made with great service. They are the original builder and all others are copies. Not saying the others
aren't good. I run in Arizona and deal with these guys alot. www.dwarfcar.com In our club we run carb motors. The
ZRX 1200 seems to be the motor that is doing well. Durable. Alot of the FI modlites here are GSXR 1000.

I RUN 2 R&B CHASSIS. BOTH HAVE WON CHAMPIONSHIPS. I HAVE RUN A SUZUKI MOTOR FOR 14 YEARS(OIL COOLED 1127) THE NEW CAR HAS A ZX12. I'VE VERY LITTLE
TROUBLE WITH EITHER ONE. I'M NOT A FAN OF THE "DWARF CAR CO" CHASSIS. BUT, IF YOUARE GOING TO BUY A NEW OR USED CHASSIS, THE BEST ADVICE I CAN
THINK OF IS SEE WHOSE WINNING AND WHERE YOU CAN GET THE MOST HELP AND PART THE FASTEST FROM. THE VRA IS HEAVY IN M&M'S, CDCRA IN HEAVY IN EBELLINGS. IF
YOU ARE IN THE SAN DEIGO AREA THEY SEEM TO HAVE ALOT TRIPLE E'S. NON OF WHICH DO I THINK ARE AS GOOD AS THE R&B, THAT IS ONE REASON I HAVE THEM. BUT GO
TO THE TRACK YOU PLAN ON RUNNING AND TALK TO THE PEOPLE RUNNING THERE, AND SEE WHAT THEIR EXPERIENCES ARE AND WHY THEY ARE USING WHAT THEY ARE USING. BE
CAREFULL ON BUYING A USED CHASSIS IT'S NOT ALWAYS THE PRETTY ONE THAT I'LL WANT. GET SOME HISTORY FROM THE OWNER AND OTHER PEOPLE THAT KNOW THE CHASSIS
AND IT HISTORY TOO. THISIS ALL FREE ADVICE. YOU CAN TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT BUT DO THINK ABOUT IT.

Thank you all for your advice. There seems to be a lot of different chassis builders out there. I guess it is like kart racing, you want a shop that will
give you support when you need it. Where is R&B and Hot Rod chassis' located? I am in N. California and I see M&M is close by and they appear to
be popular cars. I am looking forward to getting into this and getting a car. I've been doing shifter kart racing the last few years and now it is time
to try something else. The karts are going up for sale and now I will be shopping around and asking a lot of question. I have some friends that are getting
into Dwarf cars too. I really appreciate all of the advice from everyone and I will be open to more. I guess the tracks in my area are in Antioch and
Petaluma and I am sure I will come accross more.

Goto the home page here and read all of it. There is some great info in there. JMO but you should get the most that you can afford. If you don't you will
regret it. Also like others have stated find out the history of the car ( pretzels are for eating). As far as motors go I have ran honda and suzuki. GSXR 1000
is what I run now but started with and still have a honda CBR 900RR and CBR1100XX both great motors but the GSXR gives a weight break and has alot of parts
readily available. There are lots of sponsers on this board who are very helpful and have competative prices. So when you do buy call them for all your parts
and racing needs. Good Luck

Hey Bill, I race in Ventura and run with a lot of the guys you met (i think this is the same Bill I met at Ventura Raceway). Anyways, hope all is going well
with getting that M&M set up. Loking forward to racing with you, I think you said you were gunna run the pro class right? Oh and by the way, dont know if
you found out yet but the R&B chassis are ran by Brian Saxton and Ray Estrada in Ventura. Both front runners, both fast cars. They build them themselves
and make all the parts as well. I know their cars are always for sale as well

Hi Dillon95
No this is a different Bill. I am from No. Calif. I am currently looking for a car up in No. Calif. There is not a lot of cars available around here. Maybe I am not looking in the right places. I see that there are a lot of different car builders in Arizona and So. Calif. Does R&B have a website or info on there cars anywhere. I know there is M&M up here. I am looking for a used setup to get into this type of racing though. Thanks |

hey Dillon, this is the Bill from Ventura. I got the M&M car, been working on going over the car for the last couple weeks. Checking everything to make
sure it stays together when we bring it out. I wanted to get black rims for the car but can not find anything around my area. Only chrome, so I think I will
be buying chrome wheels for the car. To the other Bill, Brian's cars are very fast if you can afford one you would not be making a mistake by buying the
car. They put a lot of time into thinking the chassis out. Although I think if you put the same driver in any competitive ride he will win in the car. I
started out racing RC cars, yes those toy cars, did it for over 10 years. Just so you know, now you have guys making 6 figure incomes racing these cars. I
did a little Rotax kart racing for three years. Then raced a Legend car for three years. So far everything I have raced has helped prepare for the next
class. Now I an going into dirt cars, not sure if anything will prepare me for this.
