We just got another car and it has the 1996 GSXR 1100 Water Cooled engine and we are not sure what rear end gear to put in it for 1/4 mile tracks.

390 in second gear works out to be10.47 with 205 tires. If I remember right somebody can probably give you the answer4.10 I think makes it10.98 I've if I
remember right that put it on the ramp lender

I used to run 4.30's in 3rd or3.58 in second w/mine on 1/4 mile! Also had lots of work to the motor so might be better w/ 4.10's in 3rd or 3.41 second
if its stock! Hope this helps

I have a quickchange gearchart for the 1100w, and i can figure out a toyota 8 or 10 bolt if you tell me what you have

Depending on the actual track size and where you're running it would be the 3.58 or the 3.41 in second. on one of the smaller 1/4 miles in kansas they ran a 3.63 in second gear which comes out to be a 10.27 in a quickchange. so for toyota rear ends they seem to be able to be geared a little lower so that 3.58 would probably work for a smaller track. But like someone said it depends on if your engine is built or not, I know they had the rev limiter set to 12000 with that 3.63 and it was a really built engine so if i were you i would go with the 3.58 or the 4.30 in 3rd. It's been a while since we ran on a dirt track, but this motor will red line at 10,800 rpm w/ a stock ignition I would start out with a 3:90 in 3rd gear,
that should put you in the ball park.
