After viewing the pictures of the new "Classic" dwarf trucks, I was wondering where besides Iowa can you run these trucks where they are legal?? I think Adam's Demon is a bad looking truck, but to me it is no different than the Brat and Bully, just a modlite with flat piece of aluminum representing a bed of a truck. I was looking at the pictures Peter D posted of his new Bully yesterday under the topic of pictures, and it looks like a fine piece of craftmanship, but when I started really looking at the picture of the frame it could have passed easier for a modlite than a classic. I know in our club, what ever you run must look like a true classic, with the classic body lines. I would love to see more new cars and trucks in our club but they need to represent the true spirit of the classics and not some modlite or modified version of one. I would really like to hear what other classic drivers and owners think on this subject. I dont want to wake up 3 years from now and everyone be running modlites that are now called classics, and everything we own now being obsolete. Thanks Dano

You'd never run it on asphalt in New England, NEVER. Must resemble a production car. I wish MFG's would stop trying to muddy the water with this type

I think the appeal of the Dwarf car class is the vintage look. Mod Lites have there followers from the full size modifieds. When you try to make a hybrid, it
takes away from the classic look. I know they allow the Bully whatever they are suppose to be run with the AZ Outlaw group. Really they don't seem to do

To me its like there are now 3 different classes of "dwarf cars".....Theres the old classics with the seatback rule like the wsdca with classic body
lines, and when you have 20 of these cars on the track together with all the 30s and 40s looking bodies its neat to watch. Some of my favorite internet videos
are still watching them in arizona goin 3 wide the whole way around.
Then theres the Modlites, for the younger generation of drivers theyre cool and fast and look like a high performance machine. And they look awsome as well when they're out there racing side by side. Then i put the Brats and them in their own group.....The Iowa group is fun to watch when they all have them together. But the problem i have is they are new technology and they are a big advantage compared to the older classics (I realize there are exceptions!). The brats and modlites are equally competitive with each other, but I personally think its an eyesore seeing one or 2 cars that dont have modlite bodys running in a field full of modlites. And I think the same about 1 or 2 modlites running with classics. I think arizona has the dream world where you can run both cars with competitive groups, and keep them separate but competitive. One or two odd balls cars might do a little harm then good....I always get questions from people in the stands asking why that different car is on the track and why they allow it.

I'd have to admit... it looks odd out there with a mix of modlites and classics. We have just 3 true classics, and mine is the last one to win a
feature(Nov 2007). After my tires, wing, fuel, and engine have been outlawed, I reclipped the front and rear in hopes that my old car will still be
competitive. Although the changes seem to be worth while, it still takes more strength and effort to drive it up front in comparison to a modlite. I drove a
borrowed modlite for one event, and couldn't believe how effortless it was to drive, and the comfort of the extra room, and the smoothness it drove over
rough parts of the track. If you have a club of old tech cars, then do your best to keep it that way. Otherwise, the new tech will just dominate! This will be
the last season in my 14 year old classic! The "lone ranger" is about to blend in!

The Bully is legal to run in our club, it has a solid frame front bumper to back bumper, under the rearend. The Bully has a grille in it, and it follows the
same dimension rules as all other classics in our club. If the Demon truck had a grille in it, and followed the same rules, it would be legal to run also. I
guess our club is a little different though, but then again, that is the beauty of this sport.

I guess from be and around dwarf cars from the very start I know the history pretty well there has been some builders that of work real hard at trying to keep
the classic look. Part of that was so that the old cars did not become obsolete and you could still sale a 20 year old car this could keep the costs down of a
class of racing. With the cost of material to build a new car to have some of the advantage is is getting more expensive every day. We need to thank real
hard about making the old car's obsolete. I know racing is progress and there is a place for that and I am the first one to do new things. But as a club
and a class of cars a lot of people have worked real hard to keep in the classics. When the pickup's opened the door to go in a way from exactly matching
the body style. The pros in my opinion never resembled any car and the new mod lights and bullies are just going on in that same direction. Not that there
are bad car in fact some of the new ones are nice-looking. It is just where it is going. Personally I have always wanted to build track roadster type of nose

Come on Charles, the bully truck frame came to an end, was offset and turned 90 degrees, it wasn't even close. And if the rules change as fast as you
imply wouldn't the bully truck be fine just as it is? No, the rules are the rules and the original bully's (I have not seen the new one) will need to
be changed. I'm sure you have some pictures of the old/original orientation, post them up so we all can see. I also do not want to rehash the old thread,
this has been discussed enough already, but I will not site back and let you make comments about the WSDCA rules that are untrue.

Charles knows full well what the Bully looks like, HE USED TO OWN ONE! When he found out Western States was not going to make it legal, he sold it and started
badmouthing Western States every chance he gets. He bought a truck he knew ahead of time was not legal and then made it everyone else's fault, including
running down Peter D. GET OVER IT CHARLES!!! You occasionally have some useful input on here but not when you're badmouthing everyone. Also, your
"long line at the snack bar and bathrooms when the dwarfs are racing" comment on another thread was uncalled for. I have a suggestion for you, take
your modlite you bought and move somewhere where they run. Quit trying to change a good thing in Western States. (Dwarfs) If we wanted to run modlites,
we'd run them.

Amen TimF4, Charles everytime your on this site your running your mouth about Western States, now that you have sold your car go run your mouth about the mod
lites (sorry guys) The rules are the rules, for me, you and everyone else that wants to race under the Western States banner. If you ran your car as much as
you run your mouth I'm sure would have less time to run everyone and everything down! Put the key board down and go race!!

i drove a classic pro for 3 years and now she is gone, i really would love to have a truck with the new tech but its not in the budget,i have ran with
converted mods and i know that they are faster because of frame work,but we still gave them a heck of a run with a 750 gixer maybe in the next year we will
come out with a new piece or move up
