DAVIS DOES IT AGAIN
When the Lonestar Dwarf Car Club sponsored by Auto Rescue rolled into Cowtown Speedway in Kennedale Texas this past Saturday July 5th, no one was riding a better winning streak than Sebie Davis in his Peter D No. 51 as he had won his last 3 heat races and 2 out of the last 3 features and when the night was over the winning streak had continued. When the green flag dropped in the 20 lap feature, it was pole sitter Richard Kinney in his Pro No. 33 setting a blazing early pace followed by former feature winner Jim Lewis II in his Suzuki powered No. 86 Pro. Davis coming from his 10th place starting spot caught both Kinney and Lewis II coming out of turn 2 on lap 4 and never looked back as the feature went yellow free. 5th row starter Wayne Hearne in his No. 29 Pro gave chase but just couldn't catch the lapped traffic right to make a move on Davis and went on to finish 2nd. Bel-Air, Maryland driver Bert Booth in his air-cooled "Bad Pinky" No. 90 came in 3rd after starting 11th. 4th went to the No. 3 of Benny Tufts with Jason Bellows in his No. 89 ZX-9 powered Pro in 5th. 6th through 10th went to Donnie Reagan, Terry Boyer, Lewis II, Kenton Kinney and JW Woodson. 11th found the Kool-Aid Orange No. 46 of Jason Walters followed by Max Miller, Sherilyn Bell, Joel Kennermer and the Lincoln Tech No. 55 of Martin Hannah coming home in 15th. 16th place went to Dan Noble followed by Amanda Bell, Gene Lenderman, Dominick Palanza, pole sitter Richard Kinney, and "Dollar" Bill Pickett in 20th, Steve Wilson, James Lewis III and Lou Yount rounding out the field. Yount was making his first show in his beautiful new No. 5 but was left figuring out fuel problems all night and never got up to speed. After failing to report to the post race tech, the No. 3 of Benny Tufts was disqualified, moving the balance of the field up 1 position in the finishing order.
