I was wondering how many people run a spring rod on the right rear? We are thinking about switching to one and didn't know exactly what it would do and
how effective it would be? Any help would be much appreciated.

It will tighten the car under acceleration, which allows more rear steer to be used for corner entry without the loose exit.
