Need some help guys. A racer in our club is having a rev limiter problem. No matter where he sets the DAYNA the limiter is hitting @ 10,000 on the tack. He has
changed boxes, pick-up, coils, (green dyna) wires, plugs, fuel pump, fuel reg and filter. Also took foam out of cell NO sign of coming apart. Has also had the
valves adjusted. The motor still hits limiter @ 10,000. He is changing gears this week to a 3:30 (has a 3:70 now) we run a high banked clay 3/8 track. I think
with the 3:30 he will right on with the 205 hooiser. Any help would be appreciated. One more ? the new Dayna he bought has 3 extra wires coming out of it where
the main harness plugs in. What are these for? The last 4 cars I have had has not had these.

HAVE YOU ONLY CHANGED THE IGN., OR HAVE YOU DON'T OTHER WORK ON THE MOTOR AT THE SAME TIME?

No other work has been done. If the valve springs are weak would that cause them to "float" at a certain rpm?

YES, WEAK SPRING WILL CAUSE THE VALVES TO NOT FOLLOW THE CAM PROFILE AND ALSO NOT HOLD THE VALVES AGAINST THE SETS AS TIGHTLY OR LET THEM "BOUNCE".
